Universal Language: Cultures Connected Through Dance
You have entered the realm of choreographers, dancers,
set designers, and costume designers
The World of the Artist
Beginning April 16th, 2007, we will lift the curtain to reveal the inner workings of what it really takes to bring a multi-media art and dance production to life from concept to final production.
For four weeks, you will have the chance to put yourself in the minds of these artists who will combine Sufi-Islamic dance, Arabic calligraphy and the poetry of Muhammad Jalaluddin Rumi with western traditional dance and choreography. This will truly be an artistic unification of East and West, a connection of cultures, using dance as the language.
We invite you to delve into this world with us on Monday, April 16th.
TAKE THE JOURNEY
Each day for four weeks, we will update each spoke of the wheel with new information on the process of Close to Silence.
Monday: Inspiration
Tuesday: Music
Wednesday: Choreography
Thursday: Designers

MY EXPEDITION
The Expedition has been designed to engage you in creating a project inspired by the journey of Close to Silence. It will bring the artists and production team directly to you through the use of web-conversational outlets, such as forums and chat sessions, giving you a rare chance to work one-on-one with those involved with the production. There will even be times when YOU help make decisions that will affect the final production!! Completed projects will be displayed on opening night of Close to Silence.
