The music industry has it's own unique set of skills required and knowledge needed to pursue a rewarding career in the industry. It is also an industry where strong and current business skills are a necessity. Students studying Music Business at Globe University/Minnesota School of Business learn these specific skills from music and business professionals from an established and fully accredited career college.
Subjects such as marketing, sales, advertising, promotion and small business management are taught by professionals in those fields while music industry professionals present cutting-edge information in the fields of copyright, artist management, recording industry and production.
The Music Business student will have the opportunity to work on hands-on projects contacting, marketing and booking artists and venues. They will create projects on professional recording software for demos or for use in multi-media productions. In the business classes, students will research and develop marketing strategies and investigate advertising methods used to promote products. In short, they will study the essential skills required to be successful in the music and entertainment industry.
Students have the option to pursue their study through 2 programs: The Associate Applied Science A.A.S. Degree in Music Business/Audio Production is a 2 year degree and the Bachelor of Science B.S. Degree in Business Management with an Emphasis in Music Business is a 4 year degree.
